Michelle, CVT, Office Manager
I graduated from the University of Minnesota-Waseca in 1991 with a AAS degree in Veterinary Technology. I have worked as a certified veterinary technician for the last 27 years. Those years have included working in ICU/Emergency medicine at the University of Minnesota Veterinary Teaching Hospital and in private practice for the most part. My experience over the past 27 years has prepared me to be the lead CVT and Hospital Manager, which is the position I currently have at K-M Regional. I have worked here for the last 14 years.
I love all animals and strive to make their lives better any way I can. My mission is to make sure the owners know I care about them and their pet. I want them to know that their pet will be treated like family in our care.
I currently have 2 older cats; Moe and Joe, two barn cats; Smokie and Midnight Oil. I have one dog, a Pomeranian named Mabel. I have a dove. I recently purchased a hobby farm so my animal family will be growing over the next few years. I have been married for 24 years. I have two adult children; Tyler, 24 and Allison, 21. In my spare time, I love to cook and bake. I enjoy gardening, reading, walking and bowling. I love spending time with my family and pets most of all!
Claire, Lead Certified Veterinary Technician
I graduated from RCTC in 2018, with an AAS degree in Veterinary Technology. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my son Kellin. As well as traveling, swimming, being outdoors, and listening to audiobooks/reading. At home we have one kitty named Gobi.
Kasey, Certified Veterinary Technician
I grew up on a farm in Red Wing, Minnesota which sparked my love for animals. I attended the University of River Falls for 3 years majoring in Animal Science and then continued my education at RCTC for 2 years to graduate with a Bachelor’s and Associate’s Degree in Veterinary Technology. In my free time, I enjoy side-by-side rides, hunting, fishing, camping, and reading on the deck. I am looking forward to caring for all the animals and maybe having a few of my own one day!
Sara, Certified Veterinary Technician
I graduated from Ridgewater College in Willmar, MN in 2016 with an AAS degree in Veterinary Technology. Getting to know clients and their pets is always fulfilling as well as working with an incredible team. I enjoy working with all pets but especially love to care for cats and pocket pets. At home I have four cats, Eleanor, Simon, Mochi, and Sofia.
Allie, Veterinary Assistant
Born and raised in Minnesota, I have always had a passion for caring for animals. Ever since I was little, I knew that being a veterinary technician was going to be the career path I chose. Following in my mother’s footsteps, I only hope that I can be a great CVT like her. I have been a staff member with KM for ten years. I started out as a kennel attendant making my way up as a veterinary assistant and soon to be a veterinary technician. I am currently studying veterinary technology at Penn Foster college. I do have other career interests that I am pursuing in addition to veterinary technology. I have special interests in equestrian science and wildlife rehabilitation/management. In my free time, I enjoy hiking with my hubby and three fabulous dogs. I also enjoy horseback riding, traveling, listening to music, going on adventures to new places, camping, swimming, four wheeling, hanging out with friends and family, and living life to the fullest. I live on a beautiful seven-acre hobby farm where I have four horses, three dogs (one Husky named Blaze and two German Shepherds named Remi and Stark), eight cats, two jersey cows, and a mini pot belly pig named Pua. Told ya, I really love animals!
Taylor, Veterinary Assistant
I will graduate RCTC spring of 2023 with an AAS degree in Veterinary Technology. Ever since I was a little girl I always dreamed of working with animals and now I’m living out that dream. In my free time I enjoy hanging out with my boyfriend and our lab puppy River, photography, hunting, walks and time out on the lake.
Annie, Veterinary Assistant
I grew up in the Twin Cities before moving up to northern Wisconsin for college. I graduated from Northland College in 2015 with a bachelors of science degree in Biology & Natural Resources-Fisheries and Wildlife Ecology.
My husband, Stefan, and I recently bought a house and moved to Owatonna to be closer to my family.
I have always loved animals and knew I wanted to work with them in the future. I spent several years managing an animal shelter up north before our recent move here, and truly enjoyed my time there, and am happy to be enjoying my time now at KM. I love working with all different types of animals, but I have a special soft spot in my heart for pit bulls and spicy cats.
In my spare time I enjoy reading, cooking, fostering animals, and spending time with my husband.
At home I have 3 rescue pets: A golden/lab mix named Chevy, a German shepherd mix named Alligator, and a Maine Coon mix named Chuck.
Cheyenne, Receptionist
My name is Cheyenne and I have been with KM Regional since August 2020. My love for animals of all kinds began when I was just a little girl. I have had pets of various kinds throughout my youth starting with my pet gerbils, Teddy & Bear, and Chow, Ginger. In high school, I took small and large animal care classes and knew that being in the animal care field was where I was meant to be and I would like to further my education in the near future and become a Veterinary Technician. I live on a hobby farm and have raised chickens, ducks, geese, goats, and have two pot belly pigs, three dogs (Gus, Daisy, Moose), and our farm cat, Ollie. During my down time I do a bit of gaming, Tik Tok watching, and peruse the pet adoption sites for my next fur baby.
Samantha, Cleaning Technician
Hey there, I'm Samantha. I am the cleaning technician for K-M and the newest staff member. My love for small animals and exotics started at a young age when I got my first guinea pigs named Cinnamon and Ginger. We also had several freshwater fish tanks that I loved helping with whenever I could. I grew up in Babbitt MN, up by the Boundary Waters, and now live in Hayfield. I graduated from Hayfield High School with A honors and took two semesters of small and large animal science, and veterinary science, which is what made me want to pursue an animal career. I've been a cleaner for Lloyd Management since 2018, this combined with my animal love is what brought me to K-M!
I'm known at the clinic for my lizards. I have 3 leopard geckos, Salem, Ozzman Osbourne, and Sahara, 2 bearded dragons, Athena and Freyja, and two dogs named Juliet and Gemma. I also have a passion for horses and love to go horseback riding. I have taken lessons and have a huge interest in English Pleasure and barrel racing. When I'm not working, I enjoy rock n roll music, anything in relation to Halloween and all things spooky, video games, watching my favorite show - The Walking Dead, and spending time with all my animals. I really enjoy bringing any of my lizards to K-M for a little change in scenery from the dogs and cats.
My job at K-M is very important to me and my first animal job opportunity, and I hope to be here for a very long time as I begin my career and education in the Veterinary/Animal career world!
