Diagnostic Veterinary Services
Our veterinarians go beyond physical exams of your pet by utilizing a full suite of sophisticated diagnostic tools to gain detailed information about your pet’s condition. With blood work, X-rays, ultrasound, and even on-site lab work available, we’re well-equipped to quickly and accurately understand your companion’s health.
We also use advanced diagnostics during our preventative care exams to identify diseases, infections, or parasite infestations in their earliest stages while they are easiest to treat.
Radiology
More commonly known as an “X-ray,” radiology is a non-invasive imaging method that examines your pet’s internal organs. It is highly effective for locating orthopedic abnormalities, intestinal obstructions, organ enlargement, and bone fractures.
Ultrasound
Ultrasound is a diagnostic imaging technique that sends echoes through your pet’s body to visualize their interior environment. This allows us to look at the organs in the chest, such as the liver, kidneys, spleen, or heart in highly detailed 3-D imagery. Veterinary ultrasound is painless and completely non-invasive, typically not even requiring pets to be sedated while it is used.
On-Site Laboratory
Our laboratory is conveniently located on-site at our hospital to provide immediate access to a wide range of additional tests. This facility allows us to perform routine fecal screenings, urinalysis, heartworm tests, complete blood counts, pre-surgical screenings, and blood chemistry profiles directly at our practice for fast, reliable results.
Blood Pressure Monitoring
By monitoring your pet’s blood pressure, our veterinarians can track your pet’s health status while under they are under anesthesia or in a critical medical condition. We also typically take pets’ blood pressures during routine check-ups to gain a baseline reading.
