Hospice / Euthanasia Services

It is important to all of us at K-M Regional Veterinary Hospital and Surgical Center to assist our clients as much as we can, especially when it is time for them to say goodbye to their beloved pet. Whether your pet has experienced a long-term illness or recent trauma, we are here to help you sort through the various medical options best suited for your family and your pet, including hospice care and euthanasia.

We work with clients to ensure their pet’s comfort, dignity and quality of life. Deciding if it is the correct time to euthanize your pet is one of the most difficult decisions facing pet owners today.  It is a selfless decision that relieves pain and suffering of terminally ill or injured pets.

When is the right time for an Euthanasia?

Prior to making an euthanasia decision, we will answer all of your questions, discuss all medical options available to you and your pet, discuss quality of life issues with you and offer guidance so you may make the right decision for your pet and your family.

We understand that your pet is a part of your family, thus, we welcome you and other family members to be present if you wish. This difficult decision is made out of a deep love for your pet. The decision to euthanize when no quality of life remains is an act of love, friendship and selflessness. We can help you make the decision to provide your companion with a peaceful and dignified end-of-life.
